    Default Soft tonneau but different..

    Hey,
Recently i saw a commodore ute (I think it was a vs or vr) It had a soft tonneau but instead of straps going down the side it had press studs on the top, So it looked like a hard cover until you got up close and saw the shiny press stud things,

Was wondering if anybody has any experience with these? Any good? I would prefer a hard lid but they are obviously a lot more expensive. Are these kits? Eg come with the tarp with the studs on it and you screw the others into the top of the tub? Or do you think its a custom job? Ive seen it once before but forgot all about it..

studs on the ute or on the tonneau?
I wouldnt really be putting anything in the tub that i would have to stretch the cover over so there wouldn't be much strain on it...

the studs on the torneau clipped down on the tray.

I dont think it would be too hard to make your own. Putting studs into the material is easy and just buy a big needle and wreak you mrs's sewing machine lol

its called a flat top, was toying with the idea for my ute but i got a hard top instead. take your old tonneau to a auto trimmer and tell em what you want.

If i got one of these covers would i need to get them bars in the back that stop the cover sagging?

Is it possible to buy these or do i just need to fabricate my own?

..::| Blueys Ute World - We Sell Accessories For Utes |::.. you dont need the metal band but i suggest you have one, when it rains it will pool in the middle and sag eventually. ask these guys, but i would go to an auto upholsterer.
