Driving test

Got a driving test on monday the first one so far got any tips at all ^^ i actually want my license first time round

hitting kevin rudd = high five
hitting high five = ****ed of children
****ed off children = angry mother in suv
angry mother in suv = dangerous for new drivers

watch out for school zones, thats where i failed my P's first time round

just always check blind spots when changing lanes etc and make sure you get enough lessons and you'll be sweet

Dont be nervous.
Also Make sure you come to a COMPLETE stop at stop signs.... 1.2.3 do it, its worth it.

Also a funny thing is our RTA has a stop sign in the driveway, for no reason really, but you'd be amazed at how many people dont make it out of the RTA before they fail, When i was getting my car rego'd i seen atleast 3 people fail their, was kind of funny.

the point made about being careful in school zones is quite hard im doing it at 8 in the morning in school zone heaven so theoretically i dont have to get above 40 ^^

and remember never say "do i turn here" after he told u 2 keep driving straight

try to do a driving lesson before your test that way everything the instructor teaches you will be fresh in your head

yeh instructor is picking me up at like half 7 going for a lesson then having the half hour test pretty sure ill do alright i just have an issue with thinking im a better drive then every1 else im teaching my self to be subdue for now just sticking 5ks under the limit so he thinks im a good driver but yeh i rlly want this **** i want a commo XD

Look out for trucks, you would be supprised how many people i know failed cause they pulled out infront of a truck....

what ****s me is the fact that all the **** ur mentioning i do have to worry about coz im doing it in welshpool in perth its truck heaven school heaven and dick head heaven

all u gotta do is ****ing chill when ur driving and always do ur checks and indications and ud be set

1. It helps to have your instructor with you for the test. They talk to the person doing your test and help with the pressure and nervousness.
2. ALWAYS stop for 3 seconds at stop signs.
3. ALWAYS give way at roundabouts even if the person to your right is not quite at the roundabout but approaching it.
4. If it is manual, make sure you start the car in neutral with your foot on the clutch also. You must have both.
5. Check your rear vision mirror every 10-15 seconds and let them know you checking it by moving your head, not just your eyes.
6. Always use your side mirrors before lane changes and do head checks.
7. Don't ever cross a solid line (even if a car is broken down on the road and you have to cross it to proceed). Stop the car and ask your tester what he would like you to do.
8. Make sure he doesn't try and trick you by making you go down a one way street.

Thats just a few things i was taught and nearly got caught out with during my lessons. Make sure you have some lessons before hand, they help heaps.

lol im assuming u did urs in melton johnny i did it there its like 100% Pass rate there i reckon ive never heard of any1 fail in melton thats based on about 20 diff people

Sounds like the old Ferntree Gully Vicroads lunchtime driving tests, go round the back of the building to do your parking, drive once around the block, grouchy old Vicroads guy barks at you to turn back into Vicroads and you think you've failed as it's only been a few minutes, then you pass with 95% after they take off the usual 'headchecks' points....


The one way street things are a $@$ act that some testers do, a couple of my friends failed tests by listening to the Vicroads employee and following that illegal instruction

Can always be made worse tho, my mate acctually got pulled over for "the purposes of a Random Breath Test" lol. That one didnt help settle the nerves seeing a highway patrol car come up behind him with lights and sirens, and the tester thinking "WTF did he do wrong?"

He still laughs about it, the first time being pulled over was while going for the licence test. The cop even laughed when he was told what was going on Needless to say he passed both the RBT test and the driving test

Would have been an absolutely hilarious story if he had of blown off the scale!

- would make for an excellent "fail reason" on the sheet:

[ x ] - Stopped at stop sign
[ x ] - Performed head checks
[ ] - Attended driving test sober....

in my Local RTA, there is a stop sign at the exit to the parking lot. i stopped but the guy said i didnt have to worry about it anyway. didnt trust him though.
