Ring up a company like Toll or TNT for a price is the best way.

Quickest I've got a car over here was 3 days. Longest was 3 weeks (allowed the company to use it as a backload, nearly half the price)

Took me 36 hours to get from Melb to Perth a few years ago. I'd expect a week if it was going on a truck. I'd also consider the train as well.

3 days was in a truck. Just depends on if the truck company has their truck drivers go 2 up or not, add an extra day and a half. (going solo requires a 5hr break every 16hrs of driving, break this sees your truck off the road and required to go to court)

I'm keen on looking at this option myself now, I have my eye's on a car over in NSW and I don't really want to drive it back so transporting it would be an option.

truck has a load of stuff from perth to sydney but has nothing to come back to perth with hence called a backload

they do it cheaper so you take the offer otherwise they have to cover their costs themselves just to get back home

Yeah pretty much, but as was said above. You could be waiting a few weeks for something like this to pop up.

From brissy to melb it took i think 3 or 4 days for my car to be delivered so from say Melb to Perth i would give it a week.

im not looking at doing it yet but based on the cars in perth compared to that of the eastern states it just seems smart and most likely cheaper to get one but i dont know what difficulties id face with road worthy

Getting a car from Perth to Melb on a back load should be quite easy. From Melb to Perth on the other hand you may be waiting for quite a while.

Just to put it out there, I got a quote today from a car yard to get a VE Calais V from Sydney to Adelaide for $300, I was dumbfounded to say the least, why on earth would you even bother driving for that amount of money.

Wow thats remarkably cheap. WHen i got my sent down from Queensland i got it done mates rates for around 350 i think it was, and that was two years ago.
