ok i have found a vl for sale i am looking at this week end i need to find out what i would be worth. it has a brand new fuel injected 355 stroker the blok is out of a vs the gear box is a t56 6 speed with a rip shift that has been upgraded by malwood and a mini spool 9inch with 4.11 gears. it has hsv interia and a vl group a body kit comes with it but is not on it it is only standed paint and wheels sooooo how much do you think and ill tell you how much he wants![]()

I'd say crap personally for $5k because i wouldn't pay squat for a VL, but let's say i liked them, $5k is not too bad for a 5.7 stroke 304 with trans and diff work provided the car is clean and straight and the diff, trans and engine all work fantastic.

no has not been driven for a while due to getting new engine gearbox and diff but i can get mod plate and rwc the car is strait and clean apprently
It is worth as much as you are willing to pay, simple as that. Personally I hate VL's, so I would not pay anything more than $100 for it.

ok im with you on the hate of vl except for calais version but it has the potential to fly considering i could put a set of thicker head gaskits on it transplant the eaton blower to it and wella blowen 5.7 with a six speed and 9 inch but ok vl probably not the best loooking but you should see the utes body its screwed hence the delima

a nice one maybe, but not with the vl's internals, could get a slightly banged up y series senator sig from pickles for 5 grand too
ill ring him tommoro and see what is done to the internals of the engine. on the other hand i could swap the drive train over to the ute and the perfect sleeper that every one laughs at and sell the vl i dont know im in two minds. i could get it and part it out id make money on it
just had a funny thought i know its wrong but how ****ed would you be if you own a new hsv ute and got hosed by a vl i dont know whitch is worse a dinged up vr builders ute or a dirty old vl at the drags . but airstrike is right

the engine has a harrop crank stock rods new pistons a crain cam to suit the bananas working range the heads have had a mild port and polish done on them and its 10:1 compression but only 2 bolt mains
