    Default gearbox out in the weather

    my gearbox has been sat out in the weather for a year and half under a tarp,
    what should i do before i put it back in??

    just change the oil and not much more?
    its manual also

    You'll get away with it, but with the first few heat cycles your seals may die in the arse. With the gear sets and bearings sitting high and dry for that amount of time, you'll have surface rust on contact surfaces, this will come off and hopefully the case hardened surface will be ok. I recommend another oil change a week after you get it going.

    if it last a few months ill be happy
    ill be upgrading to a r33 box anyway

    as for seals should i just try my luck or replace them?
    if i run the risk of spewing oil over the engine bay and floor pan ill defently replace them. cant get oil over my fresh paint and clean motor

    what would i be looking at for a kit? just a ruff idea if anyone knows
