    Default LS1 Fuel Economy Figures

You always here people saying dont buy a V8 cos of fuel blah blah so last week i decided to test how much fuel i was actully using. Last week i did a bit of driving some highway some around town and there were a lot of 5 minute trips hear and there so i guess that doent help too much. Anyways I did a total of 340kms and filled up today a total of 45.77 liters.

    45.77/340*100 = 13.46 liters per hundred

Now i dunno about everyone else but i think this is pretty decent for the size of the engine/mods/type of driving. The car has near enough to 300kws and in theory should run 12's at the track. Mods are extractors/exhuast, otr+tune, 3.7's in the diff. Just thought i would share cheers

Mods are zorst, otr and tune.

18.33 l/100km on a 3.3 litre 6.... Though from last time I filled up its got about 50 km to 1/4 of a tank so that works out to be 31.5 L/100 km

those figures are awesome. i loved it when i used to tell people i wanted a v8 and they'd laugh in my face and go "do you realise how much fuel costs?". yeah bud, about $10 a week more than your excel. and what could you do with that $10? get a couple of meals at maccas? i'll bring my own lunch those 2 times and drive my v8.

not an ls1 but my 5.0ltr tells me 15.5l/100 inner city + highway. haven't calculated the correct amount but is the computer on the vps usually accurate, inaccurate or what?

What is the definition of driving around town? Bumper to bumper traffic in Melbourne is not classed as around town is it?
