theres no real cheap way to do it without welding ect...

If it were a vy or something you could fit cross8 suspension if its the 4x4 look your after
Im sure you can have fittings custom made but yep itd require welding

how raised are you looking for?

if you want 4wd height then try a hi lux chassis, placing commodore on top
if you want a inch or so over standerd try country pack springs

haha, jack it up to the height of a 4x4 and have some fun.

reminds me of a few jacked up sedans i have seen over the years, i remember an old XF falcon years ago that was heigh enough to stand under (i was only 10)

put some big ass 30 inch mud tyres on it

30 inch tyres are not big lol.

The tyres on my patrol are 33's and they're considered average.

My sisters daily runs 35inch muddies, and my mate has 38inch muddies.

I want to lift my VK up as I do alot of camping, and I dont care much for how it looks, id prefer it to be practicle.

you will only be able to lift it so far up till the lower control arm becomes so much of a angle your camber will stuffed.

yer there is a few raised vns up my way, a raised vs ute in maddington. i live up in the hills of perth and im sick and tired of hearing peoples fun in there 4x4s on the dirt tracks near me. i was thinking about it over the past week, wouldnt be too hard.

chop the lower and upper control arms and extend them using original bushes, chopping and extending the front struts a few more inches then getting sum custom shockies to suit larger springs. adding an extra cv joint to the front of the tailshaft and adding spacers to the center bearing bracket to lower it a bit. removing all the wheel studs and machinging longer studs so i can fit sum spacers to push the tires out. maybe getting a vs ute diff so the springs sit on the diff and not in the lower control arms and a big arsed panhard.
wouldnt like to think if it would pass the pits mind u i have a bunch of mechanical and structural engineering mates. maybe once the resession hits i can pick up a cheaper vq and have a go

possible to put big mud tires on commodore rims?
