genuine vy gts?

hey guys i bought my car with a set of vy gts wheels and the seller said they were genuines but i just took em off and theres no hsv symbols or anything. so this would definately mean there not genuine yer??

They should be stamped.

They would be stamped with the HSV symbol and an ROH symbol on the backs of them if they were genuine.

I think ROH make all of HSV's wheels. Well the more recent ones anyway.

Yep i'd say they are fakies. Plenty of fakies going around too. I personally wouldn't ride on them, i have seen photos of people who drove around on fake HSV wheels and they completely snapped.

yer i rekon i might look into a new set cos i wanted to keep those wheels cos they were genuines but doesnt really worry me now i found out there copies........what do u rekon i wud get for them if i tried to sell em with tyres? they are 18" and in good condition

Well that answers that, VY GTS's only came in 19's.

Exactly, basically from VY HSV onwards, all their HSV wheels were 19".

I don't think you would get much for them for the fact they are 18's and everyone knows they are 19".

hey dude, just found out that there were only 20 built in 04, 8 were auto's, but thru 04-05 there were 88 in total. I found this out cuz i was curious about my dads car, he has number 11 from the yr 04.

there is a new 40th anniversary gts #72 at penrith holden, my dad was gonna buy it, thought it through, and thought nah he's gonna keep his. the 40th ann. looks very nice though . i have a photo of my dads one in my albums if anyone wants to have a looky.

go back to the dealer and ask him were your genuine rims are and tell him he sold you the car with genuine rims so he better get you genuine rims.
