Talking The new Holden W427 at WSID 1/4 mile races.

    Heya all,

Guys thought It be an interesting find to let use know. I saw last Wednesday the new Holden W427 in action on the Quarter! 1st one in NSW and he got it 3 weeks ago.
Totally standard and looked amazing. Exactly how you see it on youtube in black and all. His 1st run was a 12.5!!! And too be honest, he seemed kinda clueless! His times were very inconsistant ranging from the 12s to low 14s.
But yeh, he done a 13 sec pass but the amount of traction he didnt have for that stock car was awesome, not for time wise but sheer pwr was all there!

In one of the runs he race the very new Ford F6 Typhoons and absalutly tore him a new one.

On a funnier note. A BF Typhoon initally blew something big in the engine to then call it a night after it catching on fire! Driver was ok tho which is the main thing.

    So to the F6 ------

Its not stock power. It's been tuned. Thats a 12.5s run. 324rwkw though They're picking up around 40rwkw just from a tune which is incredible. Alot of potential in those engines.

Are they using the 6.2 litre or is 7?
apparently the 6.2 is a nightmare to tune and doesnt give much

    The LS7 7.0L.

The LS3 6.2L responds well to a tune as well though.

Hmm, 70k Senator, off the floor 13.1. 150k W427 tuned 12.5. Gee I wonder who the smart buyer would be...

The new FG F6 is a bloody nightmare to drive, the test drive I had in one could not get traction at all it seemed to boost so early. Would love to see one on slicks felt so much quicker than the GTS.

Thing is though, test stock for stock off the floor. once you start modding cars CANNOT be compared.

Just for kicks, look at how quick the new GTR is tuned...leaves W427 miles behind.
