Default Why oh why won't they stick ?

Just wondering if anyone has had trouble getting the new green P plates to stay on their windows . My son has been through 2 sets and they will just not stay put on either windows . Have tried everything other than taping them in place .Maybe i should replace the windows lol

tried cleaning the windows with wax & grease remover or prepsol? are they the vicroads issued plates? as hey tend to be crap. havent had any complaints about the haigh or dekech branded ones we're selling like hotcakes at work.

The ones everyone got in the mail seem to be good for little other than falling off and having the drivers issued with tickets. I don't know a single probationary driver who has been able to get them to stay up straight yet Especially in shared cars, where they have to be taken down and put back up regularly.

I'd do what I did with my plates when I was on Ps - glue them to a thin sheet of cardborad, punch a nice hole in each corner, and have your new stiff cardboard p-plates held onto the window with four suction caps.

Just use water on the see through ones.

Your trouble might be that you havn't removed the 'clear' cover that comes on them, and is really hard to see.

Haha, when I got my Ps in NSW, I wasn't aware of the "outside the window" rule, and proceeded (being fresh from VIC) to modify my plastic p-plates to accept suction caps, and fit them inside my windows anyway. In hindsight, I was lucky not to get picked up for it

Someone drove past me the other day who had just glued the green ones to the front of their red suction-cap ones.
I always see people with their green ones stuck on with heaps of sticky tape as well.
Someone else I know managed to find some green suction cap ones, but they fall down more often than the see through ones.

My vicroads green ones have been ok so far as I haven't had to take them off yet. But I'm sure as soon as I do they will lose their 'stick'

took me a month to see there was a very thin very clear plastic film on my old ones, soak them in water and rub with two fingers on both sides, if there is any it'll move and you'll get it off. there not permitted in NSW, so if u want i'll send my old ones down. just pm your address and they're yours (only have two, green p on white background), just slightly wet before applying and keep the pressure on for 15 seconds and they stick usually

clean your window with hot water and white vinegar, microwave the p plates for a few seconds or leave them in the sun to get them sticky. Mine didnt fall down for like a year
