how to Check Error Codes, Subaru Liberty MY00

can anyone tell me how to do this ? its the 2.5 Litre ... i have no idea about subrus as i'm a holden man. thanks for yur help.

Im not 100% sure for your model but I have a MY96 model (2GEN where as yours would be 3GEN).

In mine there are two connectors (one female one male) under the steering wheel area on the left hand side. You just have to connect those with the ignition switched OFF. After they are connected, switch the ignition on and if it does nothing its fine, otherwise it will flash in a pattern of long and short flashes. Long flash = 10, short flash = 1. So 2 long ones and 6 short ones will be 26. The code will repeat itself but there will be a short break so as soon as the sequence stops, stop counting.

Have a look to see if its the same. There just two single wire connectors. Never know ya luck.
