Default Changed Cluster/Odometer Reading, now what to do with insurance and rego?

G'day, on friday the fuel and temp guage stopped working on my cluster, went to the wreckers and got another cluster to get an idea of where the problem lays. Put the new one in, everything works fine on it straight away.
Thing now is, the odometer reading is different by nearly 100ks. What do i have to do with insurance and that sort of thing so they know its been changed and i will still be covered if i have an accident etc?

    Cheers

I think you'd be better off just visiting a Holden workshop and getting someone to update the odometer....

Couldn't imagine it would cost you much!

If its a L1 of L2 just swap your speedo over. If it's L3 swap the trip computer with yours.

If you want to keep the the "new" K's then right the new kms on the old cluster.

ie old one has 222,456 and new one has 195,000 - write in thick texta 195,000 and the date on the old cluster and keep the cluster in a safe place.

If you sell the car include the cluster and the buyer will be able to work out how many kms the car has done and you wont be telling any lies.

Send a letter to your insurace company stating what you have done. That should cover you.
