Well im sitting here at work bored and was thinking to myself, there should be a new commodore soon, from what ive noticed holden have released a new model every 2 years or so, and the 2nd model of each generation allways seems to be better looking.
so whats next? a VF? will it look any better than the VE? will it have any new features?
sorry if there is allready some info around about this, i havnt really searched, just thought id pass some time and talk about what the next commodore might be/have.
VF. It will most likely get a minor facelift and new features. Similar to the change from VY to VZ.
VF sounds dodgy
i wonder how long itll be till holden move from the V series to a new letter.
probably when they have no more suffixes left and they are forced to find a new prefix
Personally I think it will be more of a VX-VY change. I don't think we'll see the minor model differences anymore, just more running changes with the one major model update.
The next platform change is due in 2012 or something, and VF apparently won't be here until 2010. So obviously theres not enough time there for another 2 model changes after VF, so we'll see a departure from the way models have worked since VN.
It will be better for resale values anyway I guess...to some extent.
VF sounds and most of the other V's sound like a Valiant to me:P
i guess they would go to Z or something bahahaha
Whatever the "V" is changed to, it will be a Detroit decision.
In the old GM model heirarchy, the Commodore is the "V" body, just as the other GM models have two letter model designations. The first letter denotes the body size within the GM family. Camira/Apollo/Vectra were "J" series, the Astra is the "L" body and the Barina is the "X" body.
In the States, the old yank tanks were also known as "x" bodies, but were not called by a two letter designation. Apart from their year of manufacture, I'm stuffed if I know how they identify each new model.
Is the VE the longest running model yet? Was released in 2006 and now has gone into 3+ years.
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car
and 3 Dangerous non ABS VN's
Longest model yet because it cost signifcantly more then other models.
The VE still is a class leader in many areas, so they don't see a need for a major upgrade.
i saw the picture and thought of the Toyota TRD Aurion
