Hey guys my car sprang a tiny radiator leak today and I need it to get me through another week and a bit before I get paid ( monthly pay sucks )
Back in nz we used to have this product we called "black cubes" I have no idea what they were called but they looked like OXO Cubes and used to drop them in the radiator and did pretty well for short term radiator / head gasket fixes.
I went to repco today to try and find one and they looked at me as if I was crazy.
Does anyone know what these are called and where to get them, or as a side note any other good temp fixes for radiator leaks??? please dont say a cracked egg lol
Called bars leak or something like that.

^^^yeah whats so special about the cubes, theres a hundred other products out there to use.
Now dont quote me on this as its only somthing i remeber somone telling me ages ago and it may not be true. "Try not to get the ones with the dissolvable tablet things in it as it can clog your radiator permanently. Theres another type that is made from like grated palm leaf stuff and it just blocks holes temporarily and will flush out later."
Maybe somone can varify that as iv never needed to use stop leak and iv only seen the tablet looking ones myself.
Repco.
Sorry can`t remember name. It looks like Bronze metallic paint when you shake the bottle.

ah cheers yep found some of the cargo stuff seems to of worked perfectly
Chemiweld is pretty good stuff, but it's no total fix.
I tried the egg trick in my old van.....didn't work tho, I think the hole was a tad too big.
