hey boys and girls, i have a vk sl for my first car and its got 14" old skool mags on it. theyre to small and you carnt get decent tyres for them, so im wanting to uprade the package to ATLEAST 16'. but i dont want to modify the guards. How bigger rim size can i get in my guards without modding them? ive seen vk's with 18's and 19's but i dunno if theyre tampered with.
cheers
bryce
All depends on the wheel offset... You can have as big as 20 inch if you want.
Check the offset of the rims before you chuck them on.. The place where you going to buy maybe able to assist you..
Is your car lowered??
nah mate its not lowered... yet![]()
ive seen a black vk with 22's on the back and 20's on the frontso i wud say u wud be able to fit sumthing big in those guards

I'd go with 16's for a host of reasons:
1. They look good on Gen 1 Commodores
2. They are cheap
3. Tyres are a heap cheaper than 18's and 19's.
4. They fit! (Assming you get wheels with the correct offset).
