depends on the colour of the car now. If it is already black and pretty straight it won't need much prepping done and will be a 'closed door' job where underhood and door crevices etc wont need to be touched.
A colour change can be expensive.

It depends on where you go, the best option is to find a mate of a mate who you know can doa reasonable job and fling him some cash.
You're looking at anything from $700 to $4000 depending on how much work you do yourself and what the details of the job are.

this gets asked all the time, depends if you want a full respray, or just outside, if you sand it back for them etc etc etc, either way itll cost you a few grand

just the concept one probably as it would be much cheaper i know and the car would be white and just need to put a new bodykit on the car so need to respray the whole car

To do a full colour change i charge from $6000 up, not including the engine bay. You car needs to be stripped. Doors off, door cards off, door handle out, windows out, bonnet off, boot off, front and rear bars off, lights out, badges off. And thats just the start. I spray with Debeer, PPG and House Of Kolor.

why would the bonnet come off if your not doing the bay? anyway whats Debeer like to spray?

Because you need to spray the quater panels where the bonnet covers and the underside of the bonnet. Debeer paint is like all other paint if you know how to paint. You can make up some very nice colours too. I colour matched a purple to the House Of Kolor Passion Pearl and you can not tell the difference.
