    Default Engine size

    How you all going?
I was wondering if anyone would know the 6ltr engines size.
For example we all know the.
4.2 ltr is the 253 motor.
5.0 ltr is the 308 motor.
5.7 ltr is the 350 motor.
6.0 ltr is the ??? motor.
    Would anyone know this?:

the conversion rate is 16.3871, that'll give you cubic centremetres, divide that by 1000, n that gives you cubic litres, so if you have the cubic inches, say, 350, times it by 16.3871, that'll give you cubic centremetres, 5735.485, divide that by 1000, that gives you 5.735L

    The 5.7 is actually a 346 too...****s me to tears when I hear people call the LS1 a 350.

    umm a 5.7 is not a 366... An LS1 5.7 is 346ci...

    I got 369.6ci anyway, based on a 5.0 being 308, divide 308 by 5 then times by 6 = 369.6

366 cubic inches, Mexican-built 6.0-litre V8 engine. GM Holden's V8 range of Commodores are the first vehicles in the world to be outfitted with the new 8-cylinder, 6.0-litre L76 engine, which says a lot about the importance of the Australian brand within the global structure at GM.

    OH!

I always see 5.7s being referred to as 350s.....

Does the same go for the old 350 chev motors? Aren't they called 5.7s?

    pity VE's have the L98, 06 VZ's had the L76 as a gap engine between the LS1 and L98.

Couldnt agree more! Or when you see every second ls1-equipped car with 350 on the number plate. Like ffs get your facts right

oh and to the OP, 5.0 is 308 carby fed or 304 fuel injected.

    Factory 5 speed VSII, now 4.2 Litre L67 with T56 6 speed

    Not entierly true.

There are also 304 carby fed motors in late VKs, and all VLs

    From my understanding :- http://holmart.com.au/online/category5_1.htm#1567

    LS1 - 5.7L - 346ci

    LS2/L76/L98 - 6L - 366ci

    LS3 - 6.2L - 379ci (i got one sitting here )

    We've already established the fact that an LS2/L76/L98 is a 364, NOT a 366.

    And the LS3 is a 376. NOT a 379.

Work it out instead of beleiving everything you read on the net.

    lol where from? Holmart?

You know its not exactly 6.2L right? Its 6.162L or 6,162cc.

    1cc = 0.06102ci

    6,162 x 0.06102 = 376.00524ci... 376ci.

I'll let you do it for the LS2/L98/L76 if you like which are 5,967cc. If you decide to trust me, thats 364.1ci
