Hi guys,
I've been thinking for a while of changing my interior plastic colours... I mean the doors, all around the dash, handles.. anything plastic more like it..
So i was reading over the net that they use VHT vinyl dye.
I would like to know if anybody has done such thing, any experince, results, or just comments on this would be helpful..
Hmm is it a dye for a stain??
Oh yea i was planning on going white since not many colour choices with the dye and differnt type of paint for the fascia (green).
Here's some stuff i picked up from the net:
VHT Penetrating Vinyl Dye
Color your car's interior.
VHT's Penetrating Color Dye is not paint, but a true dye that permanently changes or restores the original color. It's extremely resistant to cracking or fading and can be used on soft or hard vinyl, plastic, and leather. Existing colors can be dyed to a lighter or darker color in a one-step process that's easy to apply and dries extremely fast.
here is the thred for yah
Paint dash
use plastic adhesion promoter on the plastic parts after you have cleaned it, it's good stuff.
I believe the stuff they use is called interior vinal/plastics paint.
The vinal dye is only for plain vinal whereas our cars come out with vinal paint (grey or beige) not dye
what about a stain.. like if i stain it (is there is such thing for it) it would be better of them i woudlnt worry bout it being scratched??
