Bald tyres, chunky rear sway bar, line lockers...
    Jks

Go for it, I personally like the tyres chirping on a slow corner (looks tuff), and if you have enough torque, are really fun for burnouts.

Wrong! You should know how little tyres i go through when using mine as a daily.

Unless you mean 'you'll do more burnouts....because you can', then yes, he'll use a ****load more tread.

    agree 100%.....

the spool never killed the tyres, 1 foot on the brake and 1 on the accelerator is what killed them

and its not as bad to drive as people say, i actually agree with pav.... its good knowing your diff is practically unbreakable
(except for axle's but ive been told once you put NEW one's they will last another 10+ years)

    Nope.

Maybe he just ran out of talent?

I can drive in monsoon conditions with slick tyres and not get wheelspin. Your feet control the car, with the help of your brain. Tell him to use his next time

putting in a minispool yourself, isnt that hard of a job either if you want to save $100. Buy a spool off ebay, go to ur car, jack the rear up, put brikes infront of front tyres, take off rear wheels have a bucket under the diff centre, unscrew the bolts, oil will fall into the bucket, take the axels out, then with a mate put the car in gear and loosen up 1 of the bolts (undoing the diff bolts is in REVERSE remember that ) on the diff centre peice, chuck it back into neutral, move it around a bit more, and back into gear and loosen another bolt, repaet tilla llbolts are loosened (helps heaps) now your going to have to lever out the diff centre piece, me and my mate used a fairly long piece of metal tubeing, works well once the diff is out, undo the rest of the bolts that are loosened , there will be 3 Block pin pieces, 2 halfs and full length one, knock the fulllength one out a side and then do same with the other 2 halfs. now there will be 3 tiny pins in a triangular positioning, to get these out you will need a hammer, pin knocker (thing strong metal rod thingo) and u knock the pins thru. once they are out, which is a pain to do, get a flathead screwdriver and wedge it into the gap in the centre of the diff and lever it open, inside are little spider gears and little corner brackets pull them out wid your hands (really loose so shud b cake) once all gears are out, insert your spool correcntly (shud be able to see were the axels enter and sit). Now do the basic reverse, knocking the poins back in, tighten up the bolts as mucha s u can outside the diff block, once ready, position back in the car, hardest part is mainly sitting the O rings on either side and knockin in the diff centre, best bet is to use force and a hammer once that is in, repeat the tighteneing and in and out gear sequence to tighten up the bolts on the diff centre, and then chuck in the axels, take off the plug on the diff cover then put the diff cover back on, bolt it and refill will oil till oil tips over the edge alot out of the plug hole, plug it and then ur done!

hope taht wasnt too much of a messy explanation of a DIY

haha 2 weak pieces of sh!t... it's going in the VN

Swapping over later on when I can be bothered.

IF it ever makes it into the VN, it was supposed to be finished by now but my mate forgot to call me to arrange the time. SO it'll be at least another week. He's getting an earful when I see him on Tuesday
