Wink Will a fuel pump pump oil?

Had an idea and before i spend any cash I was just wondering if anyone knows whether an inline electric fuel pump will pump oil through with any reasonable pressure?

No. The oil is too thick, the pump will be working too hard and burn out. Also, a fuel pump is a higher pressure than an oil pump. An oil pump works on volume not pressure.

Yeh well it's got nothing to do with pumping oil in the engine. Just an "external mod" I've been thinking about. Need some sort of pump that will pump oil through about 1\4 inch piping for a distance of about three metres with fairly reasonable pressure.

Mod a power steering pump? I have heard of people in the states using a holley red to scavange oil in the use of rear mounted turbo setup's. You need something with steel mesh gears, nothing plastic...

If a VY has trouble ripping it up, it needs a new driver...and if this mod was seriously for that purpose then there is something very wrong with you!

You're gettin close to the mark, of course the vy will drop good burnouts but imagine the rubber you'd save with a bit of lube and the extra smoke? It's ok I'm mad as a march hare, just toyin with the idea. lol

You'd be better off with a large jerrycan, four second hand windscreen washer pumps and a few lengths of window washer line

A wiper motor will pump enough armour all on the tyres to kill yourself pretty fast if that's what you want to do and it sounds like it. It really would be safer to just get more power you could buy a VN V6 for the price of a pump and a can on armourall and be done with it:P

Want to save rubber? Don't do burnouts. You are an idiot.
