    Default How to "alter" bumper...

Hey people, I wish to do something similar to this, to my bumper...From this

But I'm not sure how I would cover up the 2 triangles at either end...Would I cover the holes with fibre glass, or is there a better alternative?

Its a bit late, so he might as well

Just use fibreglass as said, and cut the rest off. Play around with a practice one first.

@Ozzie - It's plastic, wouldn't really need to "grind" lol

@morton - I don't like the look of the stock bumpers...you can't do anything with them, was planning on cutting holes where the "triangle bits" are and putting globes in there (Main reason I want to "alter it" is because I'm too cheap to go out and buy another bumper that I like

@davecunno - how would it be any different from this, or this, or even this (Which is virtually what I want it to look like...)

    @vn2nv - Ok, thanks

Yeah was easier to put the mesh than just make it a plain colour...And wanted to see how it looked with it, also have a plan if I do go the mesh option (Yes, more lights lol)

Why would it hurt? Some people actually do Chap laps. It's hectic bro

But yeah, cut those little bits out of the front, sand it back smooth, paint, clear coat, buy some of that cheap mesh from Supergay (it's worth sweet FA because no one buys it, it's usually on special) and attach it however you like.

    Mesh..........it's fully sick

Not sure how to fiber glass though will have to find out how to do that, then plan it...and have other things waiting first

But without the sarcasm, what is your opinion on it? Plan on either going chrome or green

I wouldn't even worry about fibreglassing. Cut the 2 pieces out, sand it and just spray over the little bits you sanded.

My honest opinion? I think the mesh looks absoloutely ****house / homo and i wouldn't do it to a VP. But that's just me.

Yeah i guess that wouldn't be too bad. Up to you really. You have to drive it not me.

I got over all the cosmetic crap since buying my second car.

This is my old car, as you can see it did a bit of cosmetic stuff, but well over it now, i'm only interested in spending my cash on the driveline (diff, trans, engine etc):

I know exactly why I do the things to my car and not care what anyone else says...Although there are a few exceptions

Well I will have a go at cutting the bar and see how it looks after that...

My opinion on what you should do to your car lightning, a nice paint job ( a dark colour such as black or something...) take off the mud flaps.. rid of the neons and stuff on the exterior (interior you can get away with, what i did was just bought blue globes for the middle roof light and the door lights)... rims.... and lower it... if its your first car which i think it is, i wouldnt even bother with half of that.. just save up to buy something better in about a yrs time or something.

My opinion on your front bumper, Don't touch it... leave it the way it is.. ricing up any type of commodore looks like ****.

ps: make all your 'ceptors the same colour at the VERY least. I noticed you have 3 black and 1 silver. Even if you dont have the money to buy rims, spray them all chrome or something.
