Hey guys, got a quick query. Just been painting my hubs/callipers and ive got some of the paint on my rotors. just wondering will this effect my breaking at all? i know its a stupid question just wanna make sure but. cheers
As soon as you hit the brakes on the first drive after you paint them, the paint will come straight off. Did it with my old car, it actually turns out better when you do it that way, you get a perfect edge on the rotor because the pad cleans the paint off where the pads grip to. Ends up looking like you masked around the rotor perfectly and never had paint on there![]()
haha cheers for that mate. just wat i wanted to here. thanks
but if u get to much paint on there u will notice it will squeek and feel weird until the paint gets rubbed away by the pads

try not to do what I did in my old VN.
the company that fit the new mags painted the rotors and I drove off while they were wet.
ended up in the brakes sticking at lights.
When I did the VT I waited for them to dry and had no problems.
