Fitting new seat to a VS commodore ute.

Hey guys,
I'm interested in what is need to be done on fitting new seat to an older car. I have a VS ute and I want to fit some newer more supportive seats. If I bought some out of a VX say would it be as easy as fitting them to the existing rails??

I assume you would need to weld your own brackets onto the new seat...But as VX isn't a big jump, they may fit without adjusting

I've had the Ute since new and my fat ass has worn out the drivers seat, and I just want to have a new seat with some lateral support.
