VY or VZ WAGON

Hi there I'm after any advice good or bad on the following models VY & VZ.
I am looking at buying either model (more than likely the VY) as my old VT has just about reached her used by date. The reason I'm looking at the VY as this model has the 3.8 ecotec motor, in lieu of the 3.6 alloytec.
But I'm after any good sound advice on either model.

Personally id go Alloytec over the ecotec, from what i have hear the alloytec does better with economy and power.

once you drive an alloytec for a couple of months, you will never go back, much better engine, but just seems a little lame until you learn to use the electric throtle

The Alloytec is so much of a let down it isn't funny. Honestly, if you get one don't expect miracles out of it. Even though they are rated at 175/190 they feel like they put out the same power as the Ecotec.

However, in answer to the question.. I would go the VZ purely because it looks better and is newer. Bolt on some SS gaurds, SS front end and it would look totally tits.

what troy711 said. plus alloytec look cooler over an ecotec i mean come on who wants a motor in there newish car thats also in a 1995 car like 10 years ago its just gay, when u look at ur engine and then at the boy racer peter brock try hard who has gotten his p plates and think i have the same engine,

alloytecs get a rude awakening when they get a decent tune loaded up to it, vz's have a very conservative tune loaded onto it from factory, i suspect it was rushed, thats what i felt when i first drove one, but id still buy one over an ecotec
