    Question Why not Three?

Can i get a late model ute to seat me, my wife and our little girl? I must admit a ute with two bucket seats looks a hell of a lot better than one with a bench seat, but i would like to have the option. Surely these days they could come up with a stylish, sporty 1 & 3/4 seat. Are they all coming out with 2 seat, 2 people set-ups now?

No offence but there is no way in hell I would be putting a child in the front seat of any car.

Also, its not comfortable anyway. If you want to seat 3 people get a dual cab or buy a sedan because a ute is not for you.

this would not be such a problem in an automatic on the steering column.

but i know exactly what you mean. a mate of mine has a 3 seater. and nobody likes getting fondled.

Maybe gm still so an option with a bench in the front? doubt if they do a three on the tree LOL, but a column mounted auto might be available.
Personally, I dont see the point of taking up half the floor space to put a floor mounted auto selector in if you can have it on the column. Cars with bench seats and floor mounted shifters.......that is just ludicrous.

Maybe you might have to go back a few models to find one with a bench seat

the vs is the last commie ute i recall with a 3seater bench and coloum shift

if your really wanting a commodore ute and 3 seats then you might have look into the vs, plus they are getting cheaper

Thanks for the comments people! I have a hilux work ute with a bench seat and floor shift and although it's uncomfortable at least i can go to the dump, etc.. with my two kin. (not worried about a 5 year old in the front seat at all)
Still seems a shame that the VS was the last ute for three people!

I do, but only because my friend is hot so she can accidentally fondle me on gear changes any day!

lol at the bench seat, i had to bring two guys back with me from a job cause there truck broke down, as most would know hilux have a lot of travel in the gear stick, and a very small cab, needless to say i only used 1st, 3rd and 5th gear, having a burly biker guy next to me, i didnt feel confident going for the other gears,

I accept your apology, fuzzy2308! Just for the record, "There is no way in hell i would own or even accept a work car if it was a f**d.
I have come to terms that it will not be a commodore ute i will own next, however it will still be a holden. I have seen an excellent modified EH on carsales that i am going to enquire about.
