    Default Valley cover gasket/headgasket

    Hey all,

My car VS Acclaim V6 (Done 250,000kms) has coolant seeping out of several intake manifold bolts. Not too bad and does not leak much.

Anyway considering the age of the car and the kms it traveled, would it be cheaper to replace the head gasket as well whilst replacing the valley cover gasket??

I think it maybe cheap to do both in one go in terms of labour cost.

Also how much will it cost roughly to replace the head and valley cover gaskets.
I know labour cost varies from mechanic to mechanic, I just want an idea of what kind of price am I expecting to pay to get these done.

Also for those who have done it, please mention how much you paid for.

    Thanks guys.

P.S Reason I want the head gasket replace as well because the age/distance the car traveled and engine seems to be little down in compression. Also want to avoid the possibility of oil entering the cooling system which I suspect may happen sooner than later...

very late responce but ill reply for people intrest anyway... If your not completely mechanical illiterate you can do the manifold gaskets your self...wrth spending the 40 bucks and getting a gregorys manual if your not sure..will save hundreds in mechanics fee's and it is relatively easy to do, just a matter of pulling things apart and putting them back together..and i think yes it worth replacing the head gasket while your there, if you go to a mechanic or not...just put new manifold gaskets in mine just to find it didnt solve my issues, now i gotta take off everything again and put a new head gasket in ><
