    Default Bumper repair

A while ago my mum hit a gutter in her VZ and scratched the front bumper quite badly. So while I'm staying at her place for a while I might as well have a go at fixing it to save her a few dollars.

Only problem is that I have never painted anything before except for a few interior bits, so I'm just checking the proper procedure. I picked up a can of the touch-up paint and some clear for it yesterday
I'm planning on sanding the area back (obviously cleaning first), priming, light sand, a few coats of white, then a few coats of clear over the top.
Is there anything I have missed or tips I should know about? I'm planing on doing it today

You will need to pick up a can of plastic primer too.If it is a deep scratch, try using some 'Spot putty" , It comes in a tube, you don't need to mix it ,you just appy it straight from the tube.

I have some plastic primer already. The scratches arent really deep (can hardly feel them), but there are a couple stone chips and scratches underneath that I really should fill. I have some fibreglass reinforced bog crap that I used for some interior stuff. Would that do for filling the tiny holes/scratches?

That stuff would be fine. Just be careful if it is the stuff with the small tube of "red' hardener that you mix with it .If you put too much in it will set too quick and the red will sometimes bleed through and discolor the top coat.
