Yeah, um, sorry about that
That's not good...I burst mine a while back, got a new one, a day later a hose snapped, fixed that, then about a month later the radiator broke (was still under warranty) put that in, and now my heater core is leaking coolant
never ends....

its not a very nice feeling seeing ur car being towed up like that lol.. o well at least it wasnt getting done for impounding or something
You coulda fixed that on the side of the road, or just fill it and leave the cap off and do short bursts of driving home. Or did you drive it till you killed the motor??
well it wasnt really giving off any signs that there was anything wrong with it (not to me anyway), i was going along the freeway when the alert went off, letting me no that my car was getting heated. Next thing i know, the bar is all the way to red. I did 2 stops at the servo, filling it up with water.. tried to get going again.. same thing. I finally tossed it in and decided to call RACV where i waited 45 mins and another 2 hours for the towwie.. meh
so it didnt actually let any water out. you probably just had air in the system

Got a lift home with a mate, grabbed the spare out from under the garage, went back and pulled the old one out and threw the new one in!! Was @ a very busy servo and was slightly raining, but it gave the people @ maccas something to look at haha!!

same thing happend to mine- I was only 5 mins from home and I knew something wasnt right....pulled over and there was water pooling around the tyres....
It was still under warranty so I rang em up and got it straight on a tow truck back to the dealershup and they gave me a nice shiny new one![]()
so its just the radiator?? thats easy enuf
just the radiator for now, we'll see what else they come up with when i take it there lol
Yep, cracked radiator. Happened to my old VP, $200 will get you a basic radiator (just a jap one) to fix it.
Just had a look on ebay, and realised VT> are a bit more expensive, but I have same as this (VP model), can't remember if it's the same seller

so i went to this joint to get a quote on a new radiator, he reckons $250 for the radiator, $100 labour. What do u guys think? Is there such thing as a better quality radiator or am i better off ordering one off ebay?

Guess what you did last night?
Saw a tilt tray on the side of the road, thought your car was the General Lee or KITT and tried to launch it? TURBO BOOST lol
As for the quote, it takes 9.32 minutes to swap radiators over and 10 minutes to bleed the cooling system. Get another quote.
