Oh yeah! I picked up my Caprice today... gosh its awesome! I love it... I was a bit worried when the steering wheel started shacking a bit on the freeway but then remembered my commodore does the same thing and my old mans 4x4 apparently does this too... must be a rough road. Its only on certain parts anyways.
I do need to get it serviced... who would you guys recommend? Its always been done by Holden in Fremantle Western Australia... would the mechanics at a Holden dealer take more care of a caprice then a regular commodore? My nearest dealer is Clarkson Holden and I cant say the area has many upmarket Holdens.... mostly commodores.
She drives like a dream... pressed the power button and it took off like a rocket! Sweeeeet. My father took it for a drive and didn't want to go take it back home
It is so comfortable. I sat in the back when my father was driving and felt like the PM...
Just one thing... I cant figure out how to get the DVD player playing through the rear headphone jacks and also having the cars stereo turned off for people not wearing headphones. I guess I gotta read the manual.
I'll give a better review after I've driven it for a few weeks.

Nice ride I like big cars, and i especially like big luxury cars![]()
Nice car. The luxos are very nice machines. Enjoy the ride and don't let dad drive it too much.....he might get used to it!![]()
I've noticed (and I am a picky person) that when I press the break (especially when car is driving slow in standstill traffic or stationary) the breaks make a sound as if there is tension. Its not loud yet noticeable within the cabin. Holden says its normal, would this be normal?
It's due for a service anyways. Its always been serviced by Holden via the previous owner, do you guys I continue servicing it by Holden (it will be a different dealer due to location).
Firstly, congrats on the purchase.
I know with my WL that the headphones are wireless and that the headphones are on a totally different system to the stereo. To clarify, people in the backs seat can watch a DVD with headphones whilst the car stereo is off, playing a cd or radio, or you can run the DVD through the car stereo so headphones arn't required.

Nice buy there man!! Lucky bugger!! About the steering wheel shaking, you might possibly just need the rotors machined on your brakes. Nothing major.
How many K's has it done? Rotors are so soft these days and can need machining within 60 - 80 thousand k's
But it will probably be the road. It it shakes the wheel under brakes then the rotors nee work
