Question Where should I mount my guages?

Hey guys, going to be setting up my guages soon. Just wanted some opinions as to where abouts on the bonnet to mount them?
Ive got a few pics here to give you an idea, obviously they are just sitting there.
Any other ideas? Or pics of cars with bonnet guages would be apreciated!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Why ruin a perfectly good car.

If you must, mount them like these.

I saw some guy driving a falcon the other day with some bonnet mounted gauges. I felt like breaking them off.

IMO, bonnet mount looks a bit stupid. But each to their own!

Right. Looks like im not going to get any decent advice here lol.
Fair enough if your not a fan. But im just trying to get some input.
The reason i went bonnet guages was because i was originally going mechanical guages, and there was no way i wanted to run oil and water lines inside the cabin, but then at the last minute i ended up going elec guages, but had the cups already and the guages i bought are 2 5/8 which is a bit hard to mount 3 of them inside the cabin without looking stupid. Yes i could go buy 2" guages and mount them inside, but i do not want to as i already have all the gear for this setup

Edit, cheers ephect. I wasnt too keen on the drivers side, as when i sat in the car they were right in your face, i think they would be a bit of a distraction

Cheers guys, the middle looked the best from inside the cabin, but i thought looked a bit odd from the outside. Obviously visibility on the inside is more important though

I think some in car pics would be good it'd be best to have them in easy sight so your not taking your eyes too far away from where your driving i think either middle or drivers side passenger looks crap. Bonnet mounts look ok IMO as long as theyre there for a purpose. For a supercharged cluuby ok in my books, a n/a Hyundai excel not ok

Yo Geoff, i reckon middle or passenger side man. The middle looks pretty sweet though and you can see them from inside the cabin easier too. Just be careful, as soon as the boys in blue see you coming towards them with bonnet gauges, they will be all over you like fly's on a dog turd.

Isn't it legal aslong as they are mounted lower then the highest mounted point of the dash assembly?

Especially seeing their mechanical gauges, not electrical.

Thanks Rory, and yes they are for a purpose, not just a volt gauge lol. Boost/vac, water temp and oil pressure

Not too fussed about the cops, if something happens i have to deal with it, doesnt phase me. Car will be a weekender so its not like itll be driven all the time now.

Gauges are electrical, except for boost. Ive heard they are legal as long as they are not more reflective than the surface of your paint and dont block off a certain amount of view like with bonnet scoops.
