hey all.
I got a question i need answered ASAP
Was driving home, single lane each way. solid white line, was doing limit.
Saw a car coming up on the right side crossing the solid white line.
I cut it off prior to round-about thinking it was some wanker.
Turned out to be a cop, first time i have been pulled over.
They said it was pretty reckless driving (admittedly it was stupid)
I gave the fuzz my drivers license
One young copper commented "bit low" stupid loud mouth me says "apparently its legal height"
No comment from coppers.
one officer asked if i had demerit point against my name - i told truth and said yes.. and where from aka east link cameras...
Anyway, after a little discussion. i get my license back. the coppers jump in their car and turn around.
Does this mean i was not penalized?
If they didn't give me a ticket or any documentation etc?

it's possible that they will send it out, but usually they will say something or give you the ticket
your fine...
If they were gonna fine you they would have:
A- Fined you on the spot
B- Told you they were going to fine you by mail.
Your lucky they didnt roady your car there and then, count your blessings dude.
aZk.
Yea, pretty much if they dont tell you your getting one then it should be fine.
However, was it undercover or unmarked or marked?
Did you get the police officers buisness card?
BTW, next time you get pulled over dont be a smart ass to them. That will make them want to pick your car to ****. Unless you have the right surname![]()
You'll be fine. They would have given you a fine on the spot if they were going to do anything. They were probably just bored (see Super Troopers. Quote - "let's pull someone over!").
agree with alien, besides making them want to hassle you, they are infact just doing a job, and like anyone else, they have to do it.
I was pulled over the other day at 430 AM on an empty stretch of road, a quick bretho was all they wanted, I was then told to have a nice morning, all up i took a whole 3 mins out of day its amazing what you can achieve if you greet someone with "good morning how are you mate?" rather then "yeah what"
Not saying thats what you did, I just like to say these things.
Yeah this answers your question very well, at any stage you are intercepted for speeding or any traffic matter you are either are told you'll receive a fine or one is issued. If you have the name of the officer or number I can give you an indication which station he/she is at and you can discuss the issue with the informant!
EDIT: If you want to refer to anything in this post, refer to Mick_VT. Silly boy forgot to log out before posting....

what every one else said if they didnt tell u their gunna fine you and they didnt fine u then they arnt gunna fine u, if they dont your very lucky, one of the worst things you can do is be a smart ass to a officer if he is questioning you ect ect, just be nice dont give them the ****s and dont waste their time.
that's bit harsh mate. you have no idea what has happened to me, so don't assume that i am a "wanker" on the road.
i have had "problems" on one camera.... same speed. same spot.
there has been alot of controversy over this particular camera.
to this day i believe i was not speeding.
so please don't assume and have a go at someone, when you don't know the full story.
edit: thanks to everyone Else's replies. most of which where the the point and helpful.
uh huh...the only other people that have problems with them are those who have broken the law also.
As for not knowing the full story:
You said it all yourself.
Saw a car coming up on the right side crossing the solid white line.
I cut it off prior to round-about thinking it was some wanker.
They said it was pretty reckless driving (admittedly it was stupid)

no fine! anyway.
what are the laws of the police crossing solid white lines without lights and/or siren this may well be the reason you are not getting a fine it would be arguable in court.
I recall another member following a police car at excessive speed and was pulled over when asked why are you speeding? stated "I was following you and assumed you were traveling at the speed limit" hence no fine, because they were breaking the law.
Nobody wants to play with me
you may be luck this, they would of fined you of given you a sumance to apper in court.
