hey guys, just been thinking of buying my dads 80 series landcruiser off him when he updates to a new hilux next year.
i think it would probably be worth it as then i can keep the km's down in the monaro, less daily cop attention in the landcruiser, and keep the monaro away from public places. then use it as a weekend car or whenever i need a little thrill.
what do you guys and gals think? good idea or not?
kind regards Johnny
Would you really need a crusier as a daily? I think the issue is money, can you afford to run 2 cars, Rego, insurance ect and do you have a connection with the cruiser?
If you can do all this then why the hell not. You could also argue though that it would be far cheaper to get a 4 pot for a run around car to stop racking up kays on the Monaro.
Any by the way , nice Monaro.![]()

Is it really that big of an issue that you need to ask forum members? Do it if you want to.

i wouldnt by a landcruiser, it would cost more then the moanro to run,
go by a mirra or a 3 cylinder charade, they run on the smell of an oily rag, which will save you money and you can park them anywhere,
then keep the monaro as a week end warrior
hey boys cheers for the replies, the cruiser is petrol, goes well for what it is. i was thinking about buying a 4cld, but i know the history of this car, and the work it has done, plus love my bush bashing. cobez your reply was probably a bit unnecessary, but as this is a public forum you have every right to reply, as i do to post the topic.
