Keeping in mind Chev is a GM company. And the same motor is released in numerous different cars (including chevorlet) and there is also V6 motor made by GM and put into chevs.

Another day, another Chev badges thread....

put it this way, the people that wont hate the chev badge on ur car will be the people that dont know what it means, and possibly yourself

each to their own or however it goes.

Speaking of Chev badges, i was waiting for the next thread to pop up so i could mention the stupid blonde chick in the white VT with huge chev badges on the front and rear (picture the width of 1 of the VT nostrils), and the sealer, a CHEF sticker on the window haha

I was kicking myself, because i had planned to take the camera and get pics of my car, but forgot the camera, if only i had remembered it!

This thread reminds me when I used to have HK-T-G Broughams and you would see people put Chev badges on any Hk-t-g wether it was a 253 or 6cly, or they would go to the trouble of puting A 283 or 307 chev in sometimes with a turbo 400 ( and wonder why it was gutless),Just so they could have chev badges
IT still cracks me up thinking about it

I don't like the idea of Chevrolet badges, why replace Holdens who manufactured the car with a badge from another random GM company which has nothing to do with Holdens other than both cars sharing the same engine? If anything Opel badges make more sense, all of the underpinnings except the VE onwards are based on Opels.

Sorry to disappoint, but the "Chevrolet" engines are made by GM for use in their cars globally, not specifically designed for the Corvette and stolen by Holden. Like the people above said, why not "Buick" the V6's?

Before anyone points it out, I rebadged my car as Omega but that's because my model (the executive) has been literally replaced with the Omega in VE onwards.

I dont mind debadging it. Sometimes it looks cleaner. Personally I want to debadge my car get rid of all the "Holden" and "Commodore" badges but keep the lion on the front and rear of the car. But i cannot be stuffed.

I think debadging gives most commodores a cleaner, smoother look.

I'm glad the previous owner of mine did it, but if there's one car that NEEDS to be debadge,d it's a VR commodore, especially if it's red. They look shocking with a black badge on red paint!

I don't see the point of putting a Chev badge on Holdens. What does it say to the people who work for Holden and put our great Commodores together? "Thanks for all your efforts, but we want the yanks to get the praise". Sorry I think its wrong to take off the lion and replace it with another badge, it's un-Australian IMHO.
Chev badges don't belong on Holdens.
If you're not proud of the Lion - go buy a Ford!

It's not a Chev, don't badge it as one. Simple. Save yourself the public humiliation of a heap of people laughing at you and saying:

"Pffft, another tool who thinks his Holden VZ V6 is a Chevrolet".
