Hey guys,
Trying to swap pulleys over on my vortech V2, got the old one off no worries.
But the new one i cant manage to get on. Ive tried heating the pulley up to slide over, but im certain i need to take that pin thing out thats on the shaft (see the picture). If i do, how do i get that off the shaft?
And any tips to putting the new pulley on? Dont want to damage the bearings or anything.
Need to know ASAP!!
Cheers
Geoff
i dont know if yours is any different from mine but when i got the pullys changed over i took it to a place called powerflow injection/ he heated the pulley up to get it on

Mate, Give the Woodruf Key a tap with a copper hammer, to make sure it is seated in it's slot properly! It may just need to drop back in a few thou to allow the new pulley to slip over it, otherwise, pry the key out with a flat driver, and soft taps with a hammer, and bevel the leading edge just a little with a file, to help it enter the pulley, a light smear of anti seize on the key is a good lubricant for fitting too, and makes life easy when you want to get it off....![]()
If I'm not pulling Toyota's out of the Bush, I'm pulling 12's in the Sig :-)
Yeah you gotta leave the key in. I'd be getting some vernier's and checking the interference on it and see if its right
