been locked out of boot since christmas eve, solonoid working but not releaseing and emergency release in rear seat not working either.vx monaro has full metal panel behind rear seat any ideas on how to get in with the least damage went to holden and they told me they couldnt open it would be a panel shop job ,but most panel shops closed till the new year![]()
Geez, tat sucks mate.
If u take out the back seat can u gain access to the screws or bolts that hold the metal panel in place or is the access from the boot side?
i had a similair problem on my Nissan Pulsar, in the end i had to drill out the key barrel (from mem 3-5mm drill bit), thats when the boot opened. Bought a new one & fixed the problem.
hope this helps ya!

so there is no way through the back seat panel?
get someone to push the boot down as you try releasing it,
try pushing it to the left or right aswel,
had a few cases at work where a latch had come lose and just followed the strikers. pushed down and to a side and it came off

behind the drivers side head rest in the back seat is a yellow pull cable for your boot, lift head rest and you will see it as plain as dogs balls .
