Hey guys,
Since i got my car there has been a squeek in the rear right wheel that goes away while braking.
Today i took it to "Versace" (tire/auto place near me) and the guy tells me i'll need to replace the rotor (which i had guessed), he then tells me he has to replace both rear rotors because you can't just do one side or it'll be uneven. I'm OK with this as well.
Now after paying more than i would have liked (he insisted i'd need new pads too if i'm changing the rotors, i believed him because he's the brake specialist), i've taken the cars and the ****er is still squeeking!!
Should i leave it for a couple of days to wear in the pads/rotors or should i just go back now and give then an ear full?
OK, so i wnt and spoke to them about the problem... and they were great. Someone different to the guy who did my brakes (the boss maybe) jacked the bacl of the car up and i showed then the squeek.
Turns out my axle is bent... but the guy said he'd get a new one in and fix it an all for free as i'd just payed a **** load for brakes that i didn't need.
Pretty happy actually, admittedly if they'd have told me it was the axle at fault from the begining i would prpbably have gone to the wreckers and gotten an lsd ahead of schedule, but i'm still getting a free one now and have rear brakes i won't have to worry about for a long time to come.
