Hi all,
I'm hoping some of you Commodore guys can help me with some info. I've got an FJ and its got a 235 stroker in it (which makes it close to the same displacement as a V6 commodore), I've just fitted an eaton M90 blower (same as V6 commodore) to it but I've got hardly any boost as I got the pulley sizes all wrong. I can find heaps of info on the top pulley size and the boost it will give me, But can anyone tell me what the standard size of the bottom (crankshaft) pulley is on a commodore so I can get one made to suit my engine.
Thanks heaps if anyone can help.
Cheers,
Grant
give us a pic of the car aswell.
Not Sure but is one of these any help ? or they migth know HOLDEN COMMODORE VN-VY V6 OVERDRIVEN POWERBOND BALANCER - eBay Other Performance Parts, Performance Parts, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 14-Jan-09 07:17:05 AEDST)
i cannot remember exactally the size but it would be in the 90's mm's. yella terras upgrade(downsize) is 87mm which is 10psi~ if thats any help![]()
Thanks for that info donOxer,
But the pulley size I need is the bottom one that is attached (or maybe even part of) the harmonic balancer. I am getting one made that will bolt onto my balancer and I'm not sure what diameter to get it made. I notice that your ride is a supercharged V6, any chance I could get you to measure the size of it for me.
Thanks alot your your help,
Grant
G'day Flat_white,
I didn't put any pictures on to start with cause I wasn't sure if was cool to put non-commodore pics on a commodore site, but I've tried to attach some now.
The first pic is the car itself.
The second one is the setup I've got at the moment which is running a 4BBL Holley.
The third one is the carb setup I am about to put on when I get my boost sort out, Its a duel Dellortto setup. I'm putting this on to get a bit better perfomance but mainly just cause it looks real tuff.
I have tried to attach these photos, I hope they've worked.
Cheers,
Grant
the diameter of my supercharged v6 bottom pulley/balancer is 18cm
That's a cool set up on the FJ. What fuel does it run? I hope you have the bypass valve configured here or else it will make short work of the L6.
