Default Removing Tar / Oily Specs off paintwork and windscreen

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any particular products and or methods regarding removing tar / oily spots off paintwork and glass? With the searing temperatures here in the past couple of days, a couple of patches of bitumen had melted, resulting in oily specs being thrown up on to the paintwork and windscreen.

Normal washing doesn't get them off, and you can sort of pick at the specs and scrape them off, but I don't know if this is an ideal way to get the buggers off without doing any damage to the paint.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Kero or turps with a rag hose straigth off ,if on if leave a patch (rarely) it mean it has removed some wax ,just rewax the spot ,as for the glass do the same and use metho mix with turps 50%/50% spray on ,wipe off with a dry cloth

Give the area affected a good wash, then use wax & grease remover, then a good polish.
