Default Valve seat recession and unleaded on older Holdens

    Hey just a quickie...

I have an 85 EFI VK I know that the engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago, would it most likely have hardened seats, seals etc meaning I can use unleaded or should I use flashlube anyway? Can it hurt using an additive if seats are hardened? What should I do?

See if you can find out who did the reco, ring the company as ask if they do valve seat inserts as a matter of course in their engines. Using a valve seat cooling agent will NOT hurt an engine. Likewise with most upper cylinder lubricants
