trans model number

g'day all can someone tell me the model number of my transmission? I have a '96 model vs excutive commodore

I know in the VR series from 93~95 there are only 2 types of G/Box. They can be identifyed by the sticker on top close to where the bell housing meets the block. Pop the bonnet and have a look down there, it is quiet visible on the VR series. For the VR series there is 2 types, a "4DD" type ~ "5DD" type G/Box.

Yours being a VS Might be simular? It may have a sticker on top that will have a number or code on it? Hope this may help you identify your g/box, thats if the VS is simular with the sticker deal on the top of the Bell housing.

Oh, and this is Automatic G/Box only.
