Firstly i'll start by saying this - I'm only getting it for when i go to the drags not to use on the road!
The ute's booked in on friday to have one installed and i was just wondering what sort of switch do you use for them - is it a standard On/Off switch or is it just a push button similar to something you'd use for nitrous? The reason i'm asking is i'd like to get a switch made up that'd fit next to the traction control button.
On/off switch!
I just use a rocker switch with a light, so it guarantee's it never gets left on.

Subtle, and effective.

how much would a line locker be installed anyway? always see people ask but no one ask for a price :P
Indeed i was. I'd be stupid to sell it. In the 4 years i've had it, i've never seen another carbon fibre one for sale, only a thrashed woodgrain one. (Not counting the other woodgrain one i'm buying haha)
Mine was done for free when i had my diff put in, so i'm no help either!

i wouldn't imagine it wouldn't cost a lot to fit a line locker, cost of locker plus maybe 1-2hrs labour. need to mount locker, cut and flare brake lines to suit fittings on locker solenoid and then bleed the brakes. be cheaper if you could do the wiring yourself
wiring is fairly simple. i'd suggest a double switch system, one to power the system and the 2nd switch to actually activate the solenoid, that way it prevents acidental activation. don't forget to fit a fuse and possibly a LED some where to indicate the solenoid is activated![]()

I use the rocker switch because it lights up. Even in the daytime, if you look there, you can still see the orange glow (the blue and green ones in there aren't as bright, so if you don't have a colour preference, get orange)
I need to redo it tho, ****head ex mechanic broke it when he removed it last time.
I assume it wouldn't be too expensive to fit, because my diff builder did mine while the auto elec was there for another job, and didn't charge me, so must be a pretty simple job.
