I had a mobile inspector come out and do a safty certificate inspection on my '95 VS. It failed due to a small number of things because the guy was really strict (handbrake needs adjustment, not allowed to staple hoodlining, right side power mirror not working, needs degrease, sagging engine mounts). He gave me a Qld Transport form stating that I had 14 days to get it re-inspected and his company stamp was in one of the details boxes.

a) Does this mean I must use his company for the re-inspection? If so, it should be cheaper than the initial inspection right?

b) I have to get new engine mounts installed anyway, so I am thinking of just putting it into a mechanic and getting them to install plus a new safety certificate.
