Just wondering if it's possible to get a boot resprayed without having to get the whole car done? I recently had my car keyed by some f**khead and I have two nice deep scratches on my boot and bonnet![]()

I thought that might be the case, although the car is black and after a wash all panels would look the same lol. I just don't want to respray the entire car because it would be expensive, although I do have a few chips on the doors from rocks and crap

Ya my friend recently had a panel on his vx repainted after a crash (metallic blue) and some places refused to do the job for just 1 panel because they said its too hard too match and theyd have to re-paint the bonnet and door to make it look right, he said he didnt mind if it was off slightely colourwise but they said they wouldnt do it because it makes there work look bad.....
a boot should be sort of ok to do just the one panel, as the edges of the boot line up wil the bends in the quarter panels, so the light will help hide the colour difference. if that makes sense
its not like doin the door or something where lots of flats panels line up, like they do down the side of the car, sort of hard to explain
but anyone with a keen eye could still pick it
I feel your pain !
You definitely should be able to just get the boot done, and any good spray painter will blend in (blow over) the tops pf the gaurds. I work around car yards, and see it getting done all the time.
Thought about just buying a new boot & bonnet thats in the same colour from the wreckers ,if its a common colour you can fine them with mint paintwork at times and somestimes it works out cheaper, but if you are going to respray nows a good to get a monaro bonnet or maybe do a custom two tone
yeah there's a point...I was going to put the monaro bonnet on at some stage...however I'd still need a re-spray of the bonnet if I was to do that unless I can find one in K025 phantom black...as for the boot, I would probably get that resprayed regardless because I'd rather not have to re-fit the spoiler, meh anyways I'll check with a few smash repairers and see what they think...

The rear spoiler is a bit a pain to swap, you should be able to find someone to match your paint, try talking to some paint suppliers they might be able to mix the paint spot on using that micro chip thing where they get a sample of your paint and use uv ligth ,not 100% sure how they do it but Ive seen them do it before
