Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction in regards to getting some replacement oil for a 3HP belt drive compressor? I'm also after some oil for air tools too, not sure if you are meant to use the same oil or something else? The tools in question are a rattle gun, ratchet etc
Cheers
I use compressor oil (as stated on the bottle)
and pneumatic tool oil ( as stated on the bottle)
I am not sure which brand I have, and I don't know what the difference between them is, maybe consistancy, someone else here may know.![]()
Nobody wants to play with me
I use ATF (automatic trans fluid) in all my pneumatic tools as I have been told that it is better than the stuff you can buy off the shelf specifically for it which will wear out rubber seals a lot quicker (not sure how true this is) but habve never had any dramas with it. For the compressor I just use standard air compressor oil as above post. Air tool oil is generally thinner than compressor oil.
use atf.its the most suitable
went to Alltools
bought a litre of air compressor oil (Spear and Jackson)
and 250ml of oil for the tools (no name on squeeze bottle)
its what they recommended
