    Default fe2 suspention + lowering

hey guys, i have a vt spak with standard fe2 suspention. My rear springs are sagging and im thinking of updating them. If i were to get super low springs, would i need to buy shortend shocks? or are the fe2 shocks short enough?

Also, is it normal for fe2 springs to start sagging after 136,000ks built in jan 2000

    You don't "need" shorter shock's with superlow's.

BUT... I would recommend you get shorter shock's because 1. The standard shock's WILL bottom out and eventually be worthless. 2. Depending on your states law's, you may require the shorter shock's in order to keep the suspension travel. (keeping it legal)

Ofcourse though, If you have the car lower than legal then you can scrap the "keeping it legal" idea.

i found a set of springs i want on the internet, they are called "superlows" yet he claims they are GENUINE holden springs.. is there such a thing? he said it drops the car around 2" lower then fe2, would that still be a legal height

If they say Superlows, then they are definitely not Genuine Holden. The only lowered suspension setup Holden made that is lower than FE2 is the HSV setup.
2" would be on the border line of legal/illegal.

i doubt they are cut springs. The VT (which im guessing these are for) had IRS standard. IRS springs cannot be cut because of the shape. Im tiping they are probably king springs or possible even HSV springs that he has named super lows. Send him a message and ask what the part number is, Ring holden with that part number and ask what they are from. If there is nothing on record then they are not genuine

Also ask him what colour they are. If their black then its possible that they are genuine but compressed.

got a part number, they are black also, went to my local holden dealer and they said they are genuine hsv springs, but would they really be 2" lower?

Also, i can get the set for around $100 (front and rear), good price? they are 8 months old

Yeah i think he hsv ones are a little lower than lows.

    Kinda between lows & superlows.

If their used tey would have sagged a tiny bit also.
