I'm planning on servicing the ute myself this weekend. Would anyone have any info to what has to be changed at 70,000k's?
So far i'm going to do:
Oil change
New oil filter
New radiator hoses, both lower and upper.
Radiator flush
New brake pads front and rear
New plugs
Anything else i've missed or i should do?
tranny?
diff?
Brake fluid?
check power steering fluid
Make sure you dont spend stupid amounts of money on the expensive plugs...

Well i did it today
New plugs - Bosch F5-4 Fusion
New oil filter - Ryco Z160 Filter
Fresh Oil - Valvoline Synpower 10w50
Fresh Diff Oil - Castrol SAFXA LSD
Front and rear pads - Bendix CT
All up it cost me $486, I bought 2, 5L bottles of the Synpower as 6-6.5L is required for a change, plus give me a bit more for top ups
Can i say that the spark plugs in an LS1 are THE BIGGEST C U NEXT TUESDAY to change!! no access...
Next on the list in new upper and lower radiator hoses and a cooling and auto system flush, New front and rear DBA Slotted rotors.
But if i can pick up some bigger brakes for cheap i wont bother with the rotors
fuel filter?
Going by the Holden schedule, all you need to change is oil + filter, brake + clutch fluid if it's over 2yrs old, and coolant if over 5yrs.
80,000 is as above, plus fuel filter and air filter.
got a k@n air filter yet???
