De-Badging, Best way?

hey guys,

whats the best way to remove the badges on a vs commo without scatching up the panit? i'm removing the exec one on the boot and the 2 v6 ecotec's on the 1/4's.

done this before....heat up the V6 ecotec badges with haird dryer then slowly pry it off with a flat head screw driver

executive badge on the boot...bet a blade and pierce the badge a bit so it grips and lift it off..pretty sure its just a sticker

just another question, the trim that goes thru the middle of doors round the rear bar and front bar, i want to put the ss trim (full red) on it instead.
how hard the they to remove and fit a new one? am i able to use the strips i've pulled off another car?

i know you can buy a full new set of red SS moulds of ebay

as for removing the strip on the bumper...it depends, mine was just a thin sticker so it peelled right off

is door moulds the correct name for them? because i cant find anything on ebay for them.

What ever you do, do NOT use a screw driver to pry badges off.. use fishing line..

Flat head screwdriver will scratch up your paint if(when) you slip. I removed mine with just a fishing line, wrap it up in your hands and 'see-saw' under the badge, the sticker stuff is then easily polished away.

Worked perfectly with my VE but never debadged my VS, older adhesives may be trickier. - I would definatly try the fishing line before resorting to sharp metal objects though.

As for the door trim, i made an absolute mess of mine on the VS. Yes it is difficult and Yes it is time consuming, there are some great how-to's in this forum for it though. Goodluck!
