hey guys,
looking into buying some rims for my 1987 vl commodore executive.
im gunna by VY SS rims, but i dont know if i should get the 17" or 18" rims.
and if i lowered my car in the future would the 18" rims scrape??
so yeah just wondering what would look better, the 17's or 18's.
thanks.
If you can are willing to spend the extra penny for the tyres, I'd go 18's. Never heard of 18's scraping. Getting your guards rolled wouldn't cost to much anyway.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
There are VL's running on 20's, i'm sure 18's wont be too hard to fit on!

thanks guys,
wouldent the 18's make the car sit too high????
wats the width and profile of the VY SS tyre anyway?
go with the 18", car will sit a bit higher but u just got to lower it
I'd say go 17", but i think in the way of "Go small rims, or go bloody BIG rims".
But each to their own. I ran 18's and also 19's on my VP with rolled guards, never had a single problem and the VP was pretty low.
thanks guys, i think im gunna get the 17's, 18's MIGHT cause sum probs, and i dont have the money for probs lolz
dont be a girl...... 18s and problem free
You will love it so much better and wont regret it.
17s are small these days nothing special, pretty much stock ahah
But up to u in the end
yeah i agree...i'd go the 18inchs...makes the car look heaps better
yeah man, 18's are sweet.. 17's just dont cut it anymore i dont reckon haha. my mate's got a VL on superlows all round with 20's, no dramas (Y)
lol well if u put it like that, i think im gunna buy the 18's
