How do I adjust the aim on these ones? Decided to mend a couple of fiddly things today, thought this would be a piece of cake, but:
Taking one out, the jets just appear cast fixed in the plastic housing. Presently the inside jet on the drivers side goes over the top of the screen at anything over 20km/h.
If I buy another one will it have the same aim pattern/
Ive included this here as Im sure the jet is most likely common to many model comms.
you cant aim them.
they are none adjustable.
buy new ones and the problem should be solved.
Thanks for the reply ^.
What concerns me is that the misaim has probably been there since day one.
How do I know that buying a new one will get me one that aims properly, was it a common problem with quality control and they have it fixed now?
I want to avoid the situation where after I buy a new one and it does the same thing and complain, then have the holden spare parts lacky tell me, "they're all like that"
Cheers
i dont think there was a problem with washers in the day.
maybe there is a bit of build up of gunk or some crap in the system which is pushing it over the roof.
you could try pushing a needle around inside the squirter and see if it fixes it i guess.
if your still not happy, aftermarket replacement washers are adjustable so that might be an option.
in saying that though, they are somewhat larger than the stock ones so they might look out of place.
They r adjustable as TVR -161 said, somtimes corrosion can build up behind the nozzles and make it seem like they wont move but if u can get somthing in there thats thin enough that wont bend they will move so u can aim them where eva u want. Mayb even some wd-40 will free them up bare in mind they mite b touchy then![]()
