ok so the whole idea of get a 6 stroked may seam rediculous to some...
but as for others they may be happy with their ride and just want more power not a new car...
im in two minds ive a month or so be4 being aloud to either add more power to my six or get an 8...
money isnt the issue theres plenty of that to be spent either way and the bank was glad to help out...
but wats the go with the strokers for a 6 are they really worth the money or is it just more efficient to go with the 8 cause finding some1 to stroke my 6 was easier then finding a 8 to buy as im still looking
any sujestions
My suggestion is give the money back to the bank, save up your own money and save on interest.
An 8 will always end up making more power in the end.
But it's what YOU want.
Personally, I want a fast V6. I know people may criticise. I know it definitely wont be the fastest car on the streets. I know V8s will beat it, but I want those big V8s to earn the win. You know what I mean?
yeah go FI would prob cost the same but you will gain more power that way

1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
Again if your gonna do any work to the six, i would be looking towards working it for Forced induction as it will do way more kw's for the same sort of price.
yeah i agree, set it up for boost... while theres not a lot of extra kw to be had in building up an n/a stroker, the torque will have increased very noticeably. The same amount of torque will be available when set up for FI, in addition the bottom end will be able to handle boost, making far better numbers and times than something not purpose built.
so looks like ppl favour FI over strokers for the six...
thats something i actally overlooked when thinking bout
either a new car or working myne...
for giving money back to the bank i think ill pass...
they money i got in saving can stay there theres plenty enough to buy the car but then thats half my house deposit gone...
guess now i got some more thinking to do although after finding some interesting 8'z last nite for sale
i think i may be leaning towards them...
nothing can beat that V8 roar
either go forced induction or get an 8 i dont beleive in stroking it out when u still have less cubes then a stock 5L in the end lol... i mean ls1s are getting so cheap u u can pick them up for less then 5k with a box and then u have an all alloy v8 pumping out a crap load more power then the 6 could
but a turboed 6 would be another good option

Okay this discussion is something that requires a lot of thought... I see your mainly looking for a powerful car, if this is the case then the V8 is your option. I've got a 4.2L stroker VT with a massive Turbonetics T76 turbo and the thing absolutely hauls ass non-stop. Every aspect of the motor has been worked to its full potential and its produced a powerful super 6 however if the same money was spent on a V8, the V8 would win hands down.
If your just going to stroke your V6 then your going to notice an increase, however without going for some type of forced induction and a few other modifications you wont be achieving something truely powerful, so if your looking to stroke your V6 definately be looking to have a supercharger or turbocharger in your engine bay aswell otherwise the money spent just simply isn't worth it.
I guess in summary unless your planning on going all out on the motor, go for a V8.
